Keron Jackson
"God's Story Is My Story (From the Projects to Carnegie Hall)"
Keron Jackson is an acclaimed powerhouse bass singer with an extraordinary voice and an even more incredible story. Keron is a gifted musician, actor, and evangelist. He has dedicated his life to serving God through his gifts and talents. He speaks and sings in opera houses, national singing competitions, conventions, theaters, school auditoriums, and churches.
Keron has also taken the stage at such prestigious places like Carnegie Hall and the Dallas Opera. The most important part of his life, though, is motivational speaking. He strongly and fully believes that he isn't unique, and lives on this earth just like everyone else. Keron's greatest desire, therefore, is to reach out to those in poverty, those whose parents are on drugs, and the kids that try to do better even though no one says, "Good job."
Currently, Keron is writing his first book entitled, "Unlearning What My Parents Taught Me."
The things for which Mr. Jackson is most grateful include his talents, his gifts, knowing Jesus Christ, receiving love, and learning how to love others in return.
Please join us as Keron Jackson shares with us his beautiful music and his amazing God Story!
Hailed by The Dallas Morning News as “A powerhouse bass voice who takes command of the stage.” Dr. Keron Jackson made his Carnegie Hall debut singing the voice of God in Saviour with Steve Green, Wayne Watson, Larnelle Harris, and Twila Paris. Keron made history in The Dallas Opera’s world premiere of Jake Heggie’s epic Moby Dick in the role of Daggoo. He thrilled audiences with his dynamic rendition of “Old Man River,” playing Joe in the Lyric Stage revival of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II’s Show Boat. Jim in Big River; the Ghost of Christmas Present in Alan Menken’s A Christmas Carol. Critical acclaim for Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.
Dr. Jackson has been called “The King of Collegiate Chapel. " He has taught at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Liberty University, Baylor University Bible Conference, and East Texas Baptist University, to name a few. He sang and preached at the Baptist Convention this year and performed concerts and preached in many parts of South America.
Keron holds a vital commitment to be an example of what God can do in the life of a kid born to parents who were homeless drug addicts living on the streets. He believes that “If no one shows up for your dream, you still have to show up for it every day.” Mr. Jackson is writing his first book titled “Unlearning What My Parents Taught Me. A Road to Success.” Hey, Big Dude is his youth outreach ministry.
His Dad did not want him to be born, many verbal and physical fights and his mother did not abort him. Life has not been easy but he is making the world a better place. The only thing bigger than his voice is his heart. You do not want to miss this powerful event of song and story.
